Illusionist - Step by step
__________________________
This month, I'm going to take a break from the usual
format, and describe the processes that went into the
production of the graphics for one of QUANTUMs latest
graphical demos - Digital Aurora. The demo basically
contains 9 screens produced on Illusionist put together
with a menu screen, some music and a scroller, and I'll
hopefully give you an idea of how to go about producing
comparable screens. I'd reccomend that you get hold of the
demo, and use it to accompany this article.
But first, I've got a few things to add to last months
description of the rippley "bump mapping" process.
Mapping
_______
If you've ever tried the map facility on Illusionist,
you'll know how easy it is to create some stunning effects
with just a couple of full screen pics. But using this
feature to give textures to objects, is also possible, and
last months ripple process can be used to produce some new
textures.
